The balance disc is like a floating liquid-lubricated bearing, which can move with the rotor (for a pump with a balance disc device, the bearings at both ends do not limit the axial movement), the balance disc is different from the balance drum, it can automatically balance the axial force , this is because the two gaps of the balance disc complement each other.
At present, in the use of high-pressure, high-lift feed pumps, double-shell pumps are widely used because of their stable operation and convenient maintenance. The leakage of the balance plate is very large. The leakage of the general pump is 4%~10% of the design flow of the pump, and the pump with high head and small flow is as high as 20%. When the gap is worn during the operating period, the leakage will increase.
Factors affecting the leakage of the balance disc
(1) For a given balance disc, the larger the number, the greater the leakage;
(2) The pump runs in a small flow area, and the leakage increases;
(3) When b1 is large, the leakage is large;
(4) L1 hour leakage is large;
(5) When b2 increases, the amount of leakage increases.
After the balance disc is offset, its end plane is not perpendicular to the axis line. After assembly, there will be an opening between the balance disc and the balance ring, and the axial thrust cannot be balanced, causing the balance disc to wear and overload the motor. Therefore, any water pump with a balance plate device should be measured for the scoop deflection.
In the maintenance of all water pumps in power plants, the technical content of feed water pump maintenance is relatively high because of its large number, high pressure and high speed.
In the overhaul of the feed pump, the quality of the overhaul of the pump is completely guaranteed by the correct measurement and adjustment of the gap under the condition that the dynamic and static parts of the pump are guaranteed to be free of defects. Among the numerous clearance and maintenance data of the water pump, each clearance and maintenance data are not independent, but are related to each other and restrict each other. The value of each clearance is determined by the manufacturing and operating requirements of the pump.
